The U4 Program at FSC is run by paid club trainers, with hour-long weekend sessions for both Fall & Spring. Our sessions are split into two halves: skill development and learning soccer basics for the first half of the session, and a small-sided game to finish the session each week. For the Spring season, U4's will take place on Saturday mornings.
The U5 & U7 program at FSC is also run by paid club trainers, with training sessions during the week, and games run by parent coach volunteers on the weekend.
- U5 Sessions will take place TBA.
- U7 Sessions will take place TBA.
You can expect your little one to freeze up out on the field or run to the side and want to hang with you. Please feel free to take your player back onto the session and stay with them until they are more at ease. There will be a lot of cheering parents and grand parents around at various games and the players may get overwhelmed by the noise and energy.
Parents please expect that due to the maturity of the kids at this age that many kids may not feel up to playing every week. Each week if a team does not have a sufficient amount of players coaches may need to combine teams and make adjustments.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility if adjustments need to be made on game day.
What to Bring:
Please bring your player! These sessions are useless without them. They should have a ball (size 3), they should be wearing shin guards and cleats and have a snack and plenty to drink during their session. The Club will supply them a uniform. The uniform will consist of shorts, socks and a jersey.
What to Expect:
For those of you who are new to Falls Soccer Club I'd like to welcome you to our club. At Falls Soccer Club we strive to teach and develop the skills of all our soccer players. We believe that these teaching points are as important at age four and five as it is at sixteen and seventeen. The training sessions are aimed to teach the fundamentals of ball skills, balance and movement. The games that the trainers will play with the kids will have these skills included in them so the kids can have fun and learn at the same time.
In Closing:
We hope that you will enjoy your experience at Falls Soccer Club and I encourage you to contact any member of the Board and share your thoughts or comments. We are a volunteer organization that is run completely by parents of players in the Club. If you would like to get more involved in the running of the club or feel that there is an area of the organization you could help or improve please come and see us and we will gladly take you up on your assistance.
Enjoy the season!!!
