Head Coach: Lea Ann Overton

Lea Ann took over the Edinburg Ducks swim team as their head coach in 2015. She is a level one USA certified swim coach as well as a nationally certified swim official (USA, NCAA, VHSL, and SSL). She volunteers 250 +hours a year towards swimming outside of the summer league. She is also the head swim coach for Stonewall Jackson High School. Taking the team to state meets two years in a row. She coaches alongside her son, Ethan Coleman, and hopes to continue to share the best sport in the world with all who want to learn. Swimming saves lives!

 

Assistant Coach:  Ethan Coleman

Ethan Coleman, started coaching with the Edinburg Ducks when he was a member under Mark and Saundra Feaster. He has been a SCSL, VHSL, USA and NCAA DII swimmer. He is a level 2 USA Swim coach, and he swam for Phoenix and Gator USA teams prior to college. Ethan attended Davis and Elkins College swimming Division II his freshman year, and in the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Swimming Championships, held in Charlotte, NC and televised on ESPN https://senatornation.com/sports/mens-swimming-and-diving/roster/ethan-coleman/1328

Ethan is an assistant coach for the USA Valley Swim Team Phoenix, located in Strasburg, VA. He recently took their nationally qualified swimmers to the 2021 FL NCSA Spring Swimming Championships in Orlando, Florida.  https://swimswam.com/2021-ncsa-spring-invite-day-2-finals-live-recap/

He is also an assistant coach at Bridgewater College, where his team placed 3rd this year at the ODAC championships held at Liberty University (2021). https://www.odaconline.com/tournament/swim/2021championships/meet-results

Assistant Coach: Kayla Spaur

Kayla Spaur is excited to join the Ducks for her first season coaching! Kayla began her swim career with the Edinburg Ducks at the age of five. She spent many summer days at the Edinburg pool- and eventually worked as both a lifeguard and assistant manager. She swam for Central High School for four years and placed first in 100 meter breaststroke at the Virginia Single A state meet. She swam on the club team while attending the University of Maryland and has continued to swim regularly since. Kayla is delighted to be giving back to the team that helped ignite her love for swimming!
