The fall of 2020 marks Erik Ekis' third season of head coaching service to Dublin Scioto High School. In the fall of '18, Ekis returned to the h.s. sideline after a 13 year hiatus. During his first two seasons at Scioto, the Irish have achieved a 26-8-5 record, twice reached the Central Ohio District Championship match, shared 2nd place in the Cardinal OCC ('18) and for the first time in nearly 10 years, won the 2019 OCC Championship Cardinal Division. Two inspiring tournament runs reflect the team's commitment to chemistry, work ethic and a 'team first' attitude, atttributes the '20 squad strive to emulate.

Ekis' 14 h.s. teams have compiled a 224-44-18 record, earning 9 OCC/CCL championships, 8 district championships in 12 appearances, 5 regional championships in 7 appearances, and two state championships. Ekis has received 19 C.O.Y awards (7x OCC and CCL, 5x Central District, 3x Ohio COY, 3x Midwest COY, 1997 National COY). 

From 1989-2014, E
rik was involved coaching/directing premier club programs (Premier Adidas S.C., Ambassador S.C., Classics Eagles F.C. Youth Academy), guiding teams to 25+ OSYSA State Championships and twice reaching the USYSA Region II Championship match.

Ekis holds an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, Coerver Youth Diploma, USSF National B license and a Masters of Teaching Degree.  Erik currently resides in Dublin with wife Kim and three boys – Evan, Aidan and Eli.
