Basketball K-2 Instructional (2025-2026)

This is open for any Saint Agnes Kindergartners through second graders and takes place on Sunday afternoons and combines practice sessions and drills to learn fundamental skills and short friendly games focused on learning.

First Grade Boys and Second grade Girls and boys have the option to play on a grade level team against other schools in real games by signing up for the other basketball program. If a second grader has any basketball experience, parents should consider the second-grade team rather than this K-2 instructional program.

(a new first grade boys league was started in the diocese last year as an option for boys are ready for more than the instructional program)

Basketball Grades 1-8 (2025 - 2026)

Leagues Require all players to attend St. Agnes School.

Grade level Basketball teams that participate in local leagues and tournaments with a weekday practice and weekend games.

This is not registration for the K-2 Instructional Basketball program that occurs on Sundays. This is for recreational / competitive basketball against other schools.

This year, there is now a First Grade boys league in the diocese. If you feel your first grade son is ready to compete in a real game against another school, register here. If your first grade son is not ready yet, we highly recommend the K-2 Instructional program on Sundays.

Grade 2 Girls and Boys - if you feel your second grader is ready to compete in a real game against another school register here. If your second grader is not ready yet, we recommend the K-2 Instructional program on Sundays.

Grades 2-6 - Recreational leagues where all our grade level teams are intended to be assigned equally / even and players are entitled to equal playing time.

Grades 7 - 8:

Tryouts for the 7th and 8th grade Competitive teams. Teams assigned based on tryouts. Equal playing time is no longer enforced.
All 7'th and 8'th grade kids have a chance to play basketball for Saint Agnes. Players not assigned to the 7th or 8th grade "First Teams" will be assigned to a "Second team" Which cold be all one for each grade level or a combination depending on numbers of players.
