Recreational Basketball (3rd-6th Grade) 2024/2025

BOYS/GIRLS RECREATION BASKETBALL 3rd through 6th grade

This program will teach children the basic fundamentals of basketball while staying active in the fall and winter. Volunteer coaches needed. If selected, coaches can request to be reimbursed one child’s registration fee at the end of the season. SPONSORED BY THE HIGHLAND LIONS & OPTIMIST CLUBS..

Location: Weinheimer Community Center
Games: Mid-November-Beginning of February
Days/Times: Saturdays 8:30am-5pm
Divisions: 
3rd/4th Grade Boys
3rd/4th Grade Girls
5th/6th Grade Girls (Need at least 24 girls registered to have a season)
5th/6th Grade Boys

Fee: Residents $25 Non-residents $30
Registration: August 19–September 30        
Late Registration: -October 1-6 for an additional $5
Waitlist only starting October 7

Jr. Kindergarten Basketball Clinic 2024/2025

*This program is for kids that are currently in Jr. Kindergarten and will be entering Kindergarten next year (2025-2026 school year). MUST BE BORN ON OR BEFORE 9/1/2020, NO EXCEPTIONS. *
**This program is for kids in the Highland CUSD5 School District Only, and there is a maximum of 60 spots available for this division.


Looking for something to keep your Jr. Kindergartner active this winter? This instructional basketball program allows children to play with lowered rims and smaller basketballs, and stresses teaching the fundamentals of basketball. This will be a clinic only. Focusing on introducing kids to the game of basketball in a fun environment. VOLUNTEER COACHES ARE NEEDED!.

Location: Weinheimer Community Center
Dates: Mondays, Jan. 6 to Feb. 10
Time: 5:30-8:30pm
Price: $25 Residents, $30 Non-Residents
Registration: August 19-November 13
Late Registration: November 14-30 for an additional $5

Are you looking for a way to keep your child active this winter? Consider enrolling them in our Instructional Basketball Program. Children will have an opportunity to play will lowered rims and smaller basketballs, and learn the beginning fundamentals of basketball.

Location: Korte Recreation Center
Dates: Sundays, November 3 to January 19 4:30-8:30pm
Fee: Residents $25 Non-residents $30 
Registration: August 19-September 30                 
Late Registration: October 1-October 9 for an additional $5
