Greetings past, present, and future SMCYO families,
This letter is to inform you of exciting things that have been happening in the background. After months of discussions, requests from our families, and concerns, the SMCYO board has decided to throw our hat into the ring. We, along with some of your familiar coaches, have decided that a change is needed to ensure the stability and future of baseball for the county. We are excited to announce that in the upcoming spring season SMCYO will be offering youth baseball for ALL AGES!!! We will also investigate the possibility of girls’ softball for ages 6 to 9. Please pass this message on to your friends, family, and neighbors. It’s only with your help that we can be successful and bring these exciting programs to the youth of St. Mary’s County.
We are excited to bring 20+ years of coaching and league leadership. We are excited to expand on our T-Ball roots; to offer you a league that truly serves our community. We are a league that will continue to show you stability, accountability, and above all a true desire to see baseball and softball thrive for generations to come. We are a league that is built on the foundation of love for the sport and commitment to the players. We hope you are as excited as the board and coaches to enter this new era of baseball; to grow something truly spectacular. So be on the lookout for registrations opening the first weekend in November through February 17th. Additionally, be on the lookout for our future fundraising activities within the next several months, to ensure we are ready for the spring season.
