Welcome to Imperial Beach Little League’s Spring 2026 Season!

Below you’ll find all key registration dates, division details, fees, residency requirements, and volunteer opportunities. Please read carefully so your player is fully prepared for the season.

⚾ DIVISION AGES

All League Ages are based on the Official 2026 Little League Age Chart

Tee Ball – Ages 4–7

CAPS – Ages 5–8

Sling Shot Machine Pitch (42')

One year of Tee Ball recommended

8-year-olds with limited experience may play in CAPS

Minor B – Ages 6–10

Player Pitch (42')

One season of CAPS recommended

10-year-olds with limited experience may play Minor B

Minor A – Ages 7–11

Player Pitch (46')

Majors – Ages 9–12

All 12-year-olds must play Majors

9-year-olds may not have a parent as Manager

Juniors – Ages 12–14

Games played at Mar Vista Senior High School fields

Interleague play within District 42 pending registration and team count

Seniors – Ages 14–16

Registration will open toward the end of the high school season

Participation is pending; may be All-Star Tournament Only

💸 REFUND POLICY

No refunds will be given after a player has attended assessments and been rostered onto a team.

Exceptions: players injured during official Little League practice before the season starts who miss the entire season.

Refunds issued to the original payment method.

The $3.00 online processing fee is non-refundable.

🏆 Tournament of Champions (TOC)

Cost: $40 per player

Includes: Dry-fit jersey (with name and number) + Trucker-style Pacific Headwear hat

Players keep their jerseys

⭐ All-Stars

Cost: $125 per player

Includes: Custom button-twill jersey + Flex-fit Pacific Headwear “IB Stars” hat

These costs help ensure our players look great on the field while representing Imperial Beach Little League with pride. Thank you for your support!

🧾 TRYOUTS & ASSESSMENTS

📅 January 17, 2026 – Time TBD

All players ages 6–12 must participate in assessments for placement above Tee Ball.

Players must have all paperwork and medical releases completed and submitted to participate.

Players unable to attend will be placed randomly within their league-age division.

📝 Juniors tryout and draft dates will be announced separately pending field availability.

Final division placement will be based on player assessment results.

🏠 RESIDENCY & PAPERWORK COLLECTION

Bring copies of your residency verification documents and original birth certificate to the IBLL Minor Booth on any of the following dates:

Players cannot participate in assessments or be placed on a team if documents are not received by January 14, 2026.

Paperwork will not be accepted on the day of tryouts.

Residency Verification Requirements

Residency must be proven with one or more documents from EACH of the three groups below (showing full address, parent/guardian name, and valid dates between February 1, 2025 and February 1, 2026).

Group 1 – Choose at least one:

Driver’s license

School records

Vehicle registration or lease

Employment records

Insurance documents

Group 2 – Choose at least one:

Welfare or childcare records

Federal, state, or local government records (e.g. tax, social security)

Support payment records

Homeowner or tenant records

Military records

Group 3 – Choose at least one:

Voter registration

Utility bills (gas, electric, phone, etc.)

Financial records (loan, credit, investments)

Medical records

Internet, cable, or satellite bills

Notes:

Three documents from the same group count as only one proof.

The same document cannot count in multiple groups.

A school attendance form may only be used for players residing outside league boundaries.

💵 REGISTRATION REIMBURSEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteer Umpires:

Work at least 6 games behind the plate → receive a refund of one full registration (oldest child’s fee).

Must attend league-provided umpire training.

Concession Assistants:

Work at least 6 snack bar shifts (including postseason) → receive one registration refund (oldest child’s fee).

Reimbursements issued at the end of the season.

🙋‍♂️ VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Managers & Coaches:

The league operates 100% on volunteer coaches! Register if interested in managing or coaching a team.

Team Parents:

Help organize team snacks, events, and raffle coordination.

All volunteers interacting with players (on field, in dugouts, etc.) must complete required background checks and safety courses.

📋 MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR PARENTS & PLAYERS

Each player must sell 1 book of raffle tickets (extra books = more raffle entries!).

Each player requires 1 snack bar shift, covered by an individual age 16+.

Minor B, Minor A, Majors, and Juniors divisions must keep official scorebooks and pitch counts for every game.

Both home and away teams must provide scorekeepers.

No game will be played without these duties covered.

IBLL Head Scorekeeper will host a “How To” clinic (date TBD).

Teams unable to cover scorekeeping will forfeit official results (game played as a scrimmage).
