Coach TC



TC played soccer in Austin, Texas for the Cosmos 68 select team and in the streets of Monterrey, Mexico. Cosmos 68 dominated the South Texas soccer season from 1979-1982.  He was a varsity standout center back at William B. Travis High School. Received all district awards & played in the amateur adult league in Austin, Texas. Since moving to Kentucky in 1995. Since then he has coached, recreational, club, high school, ODP and college as well as directing several soccer camps. During his time at Asbury University from 2009-2011, he was instrumental in the team garnering a 1st place standing in 2010 and 2011 in the KIAC. In 2010/2011 the team won the Midwest region in the NCCAA,  earning their way for the 5th time. At the NCCAA championship in Kissimmee, Florida, Asbury was ranked 7^th out of 8 teams. Defeating a favorite 2^nd seed Asbury finished the tournament 4^th,  the highest finish and ranking Asbury Women’s Soccer team has ever achieved.  He also cached 2 All American players and several honorable mentions.

After the success at Asbury University, he became the Executive Director of Adena Football club. With only an academy, U13 boys, U17 girls select and several recreational teams, the name was changed to Georgetown Football Club (GFC) to combine the recreational and select program. From 2014 – 2016 he helped the club grow from 3 select teams to over 16. He also had served as the select coordinator for Anderson United Soccer Club growing it from 3 teams to 8 teams in 2010. After leaving GFC, TC became the Associate Director of Coaching for OESAKY of Louisiville Kentucky in 2016. After leaving OESAKY in 2017, TC works with NKSA as the head coach of the 99 Boys Pro Team and trainer for several club teams.

TC has coached at many high schools throughout the state, conducted several camps and given his time to any organization wanting to grow the environment of soccer in Kentucky. He has also been active in the state as an ODP advocate and coach for the Kentucky Youth Soccer Association. He has taken an active role in becoming one of the states instructors for conducting the USSF youth module, E and D course.

Business/Economics

Coach Rubem is a native from Sao Paulo, Brazil and a graduate from the University of the Cumberlands in 2014. Prior to his arrival to the states, Coach Rubem played for the Brazilian soccer club A. D. Sao Caetano and Nacional A.C. He also played at a private university in Sao Palo called Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas. Rubem then moved to the states to play for Cumberlands for 3 years and earned a degree in Fitness and Sports Management as well as a minor in Exercise Science.

While in Kentucky, Rubem has earned his United States Soccer Federation (USSF) Coaching License, the Advanced National Diploma with the National Soccer COaches Association of America (NSCAA), and he also holds a Strength & Conditioning Specialist Certification through National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). On top of coaching at Berea College, Coach Rubem also coaches for the Kentucky Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP), and assist with Madison United Soccer Association (MUSA) teams. Rubem also owns and operates the Rodriguez Soccer Academy where he offers private and small group sessions to the community. 

Coach Rubem and Kendra reside in Berea, KY. They have one daughter named Mia Grace.
