John started coaching in 1986 with the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). He continued with Rose City Volleyball Club (Portland, OR) and Central Catholic High School (Portland, OR) from 1999 to 2015; coaching 12u, 14u and 18u. Additionally, John was employed as the USA Volleyball (USAV) Regional Commissioner for the CEVA from 2003 to 2007, where he managed all adult and youth USA Volleyball for Oregon and Southwest Washington. John founded the Willamette Volleyball Classic Tournament in 2007, with Oregon State University Volleyball Coaches Terry Liskevych & Mark Barnard. He remains the tournament co-director. John has attended multiple volleyball trainings through USA Volleyball, as well as the Art of Coaching Volleyball with Russ Rose (Penn State), John Dunning (Stanford) and Terry Liskevych (Oregon State).
After moving to Klamath Falls in 2015, John accepted head coaching positions with the Basin Bombers VBC and Mazama High School (where his 2021 team went undefeated in the Skyline Conference and finished the season 19-2). He now is the Club Director for Basin Bombers VBC and continues to coach Junior Girls Volleyball. | |

Dr. Murczek came to Klamath Falls in March of 2020 as the new Oregon Tech Women's Volleyball Head Coach. Immediately upon moving to town, Murczek reached out to BBVC to continue the collaboration and partnership that BBVC has historically enjoyed with Oregon Tech's WVB. Murczek jumped in and helped provide youth volleyball opportunities during the pandemic. Murczek helped build the BBVC Sand Volleyball Court, instructed some BBVC beach volleyball clinics, provided individual and small group lessons to BBVC members, and provided virtual and grass volleyball clinics to youth in the Klamath Basin. In the Fall of 2020, Murczek accepted a position on the BBVC Board and continued to creatively find ways to offer skilled volleyball instruction to youth in the Klamath Basin. Murczek, along with the Oregon Tech WVB Program, will run the Basin Bombers Volleyball Academy - to provide high level volleyball instruction to youth who are unable to participate in the BBVC USAV/CEVA Teams.
Prior to Oregon Tech, Murczek spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the San Diego State volleyball program. A former Aztec men's volleyball player, Murczek brings a wealth of coaching experience to the Owls, including nine years as a head coach at the NCAA level. He was the head coach of the men's volleyball program at the University of Charleston in West Virginia during the spring of 2017, following a three-year stint as head coach of the women's team at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Murczek was also the head coach at the University of North Texas for three years. Prior to that he served as an assistant coach at the University of Kansas, University of Virginia, Western Michigan University and Purdue University. He was also the head coach as Saint Joseph's College, Cuyamaca College and West Hills High School. Over his 25 years of coaching, he has been affiliated with multiple USAV clubs across the United States. Murczek continues to play high-level, competitive volleyball. He currently holds CBVA AAA rating on the beach and has won back to back gold medals (2018-2019) at the USA Volleyball adult nationals with Team Pineapple.

| TONIA BROWN, Board Member 2021-22 USAV/CEVA 18-1 Coach
Email: [email protected] | Tonia is currently in her third year as an Assistant Coach for Oregon Tech Volleyball. She has coached for BBVC for the last four seasons; coaching 18u and 16u CEVA teams. Tonia was instrumental in the founding of Basin Bombers Volleyball Club and continues to be a board member.
Prior to Oregon Tech and BBVC coaching, Tonia spent 7 years as the Head Volleyball Coach at Henley High School. In 2016, her team placed 6th at the OSAA 4A State Volleyball Tournament. Tonia was also an Assistant Volleyball Coach at Mazama High School, a Head Coach for Henley Middle School and a club coach through Klamath River Volleyball Club. Tonia previously ran the Klamath YMCA volleyball program. Tonia has attended advanced coaching clinics at the University of Washington and Portland State University. |

Brian is currently in his third year as an Assistant Coach for Oregon Tech Volleyball. He has coached for BBVC for the last four seasons; coaching 18u and 16u CEVA teams.

| BBVC is excited to announce our newest board member and fundraising coordinator! Donny is passionate about player success on and off the court. As a volleyball dad, his daughter Rayne has been a Bomber for the past 3 seasons. With a versatile experience in sales, marketing & coaching, he brings over twenty years of sales/marketing experience and 12 seasons of coaching multiple sports. Donny has lived in the Klamath Basin for 18 years and developed positive relationships with businesses and community members. Currently, he is employed with the Klamath County School District at Bonanza High School. In addition, head football coach and JV boys basketball coach for the upcoming seasons.
Donny and his wife Tifanie have four children between them, Noah 19, Emma 17, Thomas 15 and Rayne 14. |

| Sam has coached youth volleyball in the Klamath Basin for the last 11 years with the YMCA, High Desert Volleyball Club (10u), and Basin Bombers Volleyball Club (10u, 12u, 14u - AAU & CEVA). She also coached at Henley Middle School and currently coaches at Mazama High School where the team went undefeated in the Skyline Conference. Sam spent the last 5 years as the Willamette Volleyball Classic Volleyball Tournament Co-Director. Sam also coaches volleyball annually at the Oregon State University Volleyball Camp under the direction of Mark Barnard (2017 Pac-12 Coach of the Year).
In addition to coaching for Basin Bombers Volleyball Club, she also serves as a member of the BBVC Board and is the BBVC Director of Operations. |

| Hannah returns to BBVC after coaching 14u AAU and CEVA indoor volleyball as well as BBVC beach volleyball. Hannah has been playing volleyball for 13 years. She was a 4-year varsity starter and captain at Scappoose High School. Hannah played club volleyball for Athena Volleyball Club (Portland) as well played competitive beach volleyball (AAU & USAV tournaments). Hannah is currently a defensive specialist for Oregon Tech. Prior to that she played right side and setter. Hannah previously coached beach volleyball through Portland Junior Beach Volleyball for 3 years. Hannah says, "I look forward to making strong connections with your athletes, building them up mentally, and physically, and teaching them lessons they can use later in life." |

| Anneke Griffith is a doctor of physical therapy, currently working at Lake District Hospital Rehabilitation. She was a member of the 2002 Lakeview High School 3A State Volleyball Champion team, and has been playing volleyball since she was 12 years old. Although she did not pursue a volleyball scholarship in college, she was recruited. Instead, Anneke got her undergraduate education at Oregon State University and was a member of the volleyball club there. She traveled to national competitions and regional tournaments around the west coast. Anneke had coaching experience for leadership teams and directing conventions for 2000+ high school students for 5 years. During her doctorate program and after, she participated in community volleyball leagues and won several city championships.
Anneke has been busy starting a family over the last several months, but she is excited to be back in her hometown helping to grow the volleyball program. |

ALISSA CRUZ, Board MemberEmail: [email protected] | | Alissa Cruz has moved to the Klamath Basin in 2013 from Southern California. In Southern California, she was a business owner, parent, volunteer and club fundraising supporter for 8 years with the Cal South Coast Soccer League Premier Division. After moving to Klamath Falls, she had a daughter who began playing volleyball and resumed her parent involvement as a volunteer volleyball coach with the YMCA and Basin Bombers Volleyball Club community advocate and supporter. She also is employed as an elementary school teacher.
In addition to her involvement with elite soccer and volleyball, Alissa spent years as a Girl Scout Troop and Council Leader as well as organized fundraising for the opportunities.
Alissa seeks opportunities for female athletes to be inspired to reach their maximum potential. She is a constant voice of positivity, has a growth mindset and seeks for ways to improve the club. We feel grateful to have her be part of our team. | Alissa says, "I enjoy seeing players, of all skill levels, discover their love for the game of volleyball and I am excited for the upcoming CEVA season and Basin Bombers Academy - as players of all skill levels can continue to develop their volleyball skills." |

| | BBVC is excited to have Jenn Andrade return as part of our Coaching Staff. She is in her 2nd year with BBVC, after coaching 15-1 last year. This veteran coach has coached competitive volleyball for the past 15 years the California Bay Area. We are excited that she decided to return to the court and share her skills with our athletes!
Jenn began her volleyball coaching high school boys. She then transitioned to coaching JV girls at San Benito High School, where she stayed for 13 years. Jenn coached club volleyball in USAV's NCVA Region. Jenn coached 14u and 15 u for Impact Volleyball Club, Crush Volleyball Club and Rush Volleyball Club. Jenn attended and hosted several Gold Medal Squared camps while coaching in the Bay Area.
Jenn is most proud of the fact that many of her players chose to return to the game and alongside of her throughout the years. |

| | Jessie returns to the BBVC Coaching Staff this year to coach a 13-1 USAV/CEVA Team after spending last season as an assistant to the 12-1 USAV/CEVA team. Jessie has been involved with volleyball in the Klamath Basin for many years. Jessie was a graduate of Henley High School where she played volleyball for current Henley Coach, Chuck Shannon. Jessie then went on to play for Linn-Benton in the NWAC Conference.
With relation to coaching, Jessie was one of the founding members of Basin Bombers Volleyball Club when she was the head coach of Klamath Union High School. She is a prior BBVC 10u and 12u coach as well as a YMCA youth coach. We are excited that Jessie is sharing her talents again with Basin Bombers Volleyball Club and look forward to her coaching in the CEVA Power League.

| Ashley Ripplinger2021-22 USAV/CEVA 16-2 Coach Email: [email protected] | | Ashley returns to BBVC for her third year as a coach for the club. Ashley spent the last two years as an assistant to Brian and Tonia Brown on the 18-1 BBVC teams.
Ashley is currently at Junior Civil Engineering major at Oregon Tech and a 3 year member of the Oregon Tech Volleyball Team. She is from Prosser, Washington where she played volleyball for Prosser High School. Ashley also played USAV in Washington for Shockwave Volleyball Club. Ashley is very familiar with the USAV structure of Power League and Regional Tournaments. We are lucky to have Ashley as part of our crew!

| Nancy Drake2021-22 USAV/CEVA 14-1 Coach Email: [email protected] | | Nancy Drake is new to the BBVC coaching staff; however, is not new to coaching volleyball. She unofficially filled in and assisted during the 2020-21 COVID season for the BBVC 14-1 team. This year she will continue working with the 14-1 team as the assistant coach to Jenn Andrade.
Nancy graduated from Philomath High School where she gained many honors for playing volleyball. She received a scholarship to play at Linn-Benton Community College where she was an asset to the Roadrunners. Prior to moving to Klamath Falls, she was an assistant coach at Philomath High School. Once in Klamath Falls, Nancy coached for High Desert Volleyball Club, the YMCA and Mazama High School.
