Boys Spring 2026 (Grades K-6)

Fees

Grades K-2 (Per Player) $100 + US Lacrosse Membership
Grades 3/4 (Per Player) $150 + US Lacrosse Membership
Grades 5/6 (Per Player) $150 + US Lacrosse Membership
Discount: $15 for each additional sibling
USA Lacrosse membership number is required for registration. Membership is good for one year. To purchase a US Lacrosse Membership, visit USA Lacrosse

Uniforms

IMPORTANT: Starting this Spring, we will be using Novus as our uniform provider. At a minimum, all players are required to purchase a club pinnie, which are available for purchase using a link provided in the registration confirmation email. Other optional uniform items will also be available.
In future seasons, only new players to the program are required to purchase a pinnie as the design will remain the same. Or, if a returning player needs a larger size or the jersey is no longer usable, you may purchase a new one.
Fitting Opportunities: if in significant doubt of the size, there will be three opportunities to try sizes

Dates

March 9- Early June (dependent on final tournament date)

Pre-Season Practices (Optional)

Starts March, each level will have 1x practice a week at the DiCaprio Park Box
Details will be shared at a closer to the first session

Regular Season Practices

Starts when Town of Guilderland opens the grass fields for use (typically the 1st or 2nd week of April)
Location - DiCaprio Park, Guilderland
Monday & Wednesday: 6:00-7:30 PM

Games / Tournaments

All Grades will typically play most weekends from late April to early June.
Schedule to be shared after a regional coordination meeting in March.

Required Equipment

Helmet, mouth guard, shoulder pad (MUST meet the NOCSAE performance standard ND200), elbow pads, gloves, protective cup, stick, cleats or sneakers.

Rental Equipment

Rental equipment is available on a limited basis. Preference is given to younger or new players.
Available equipment includes boys’ helmets, shoulder/chest pads, elbow pads, and gloves.
Rental equipment requires a deposit of $200 by check, which is refunded once equipment is returned and inspected by a GYL board member.
A non-refundable $25 equipment maintenance fee will be added during registration, if equipment rental is indicated. You will be contacted directly for equipment pick up details.

Volunteer Opt-Out Fee

GYL is a volunteer-run organization. Every parent is expected to volunteer at their designated time or find a replacement. If you do not volunteer or find a replacement, your player will not be able to participate in the next practice or game. Parents do have the option to pay a $75 volunteer opt-out fee per family, which can be selected during registration.

Code of Conduct

Prior to registration, parents, players and coaches must read and agree to the USA Lacrosse Code of Conduct found here.

Residence Requirement for Participation

Players must be a resident of Guilderland or reside in a town without a youth lacrosse program.
