Lake Catholic Youth Wrestling Information:


Practices:

Unless otherwise announced practices are 

Monday/ Wednesday: Advanced 6:15-7:45
Tuesday/Thursday: Beginner/Advanced 6:15- 7:45

Practice expectations:  Please enter the wrestling room through the gym hallway entrance.  No street shoes are allowed on the wrestling mats, socks or wrestling shoes only.

Competitions:

We are a member of Ohio Youth Wrestling Association (OYWA)

OYWA Competition starts around November 26.  We will be wresting in one of tow sessions either morning or afternoon.  The schedule is still being finalized by our league manager and as soon as it is released,  I will update it here on the calendar.

Morning Sessions - weigh ins 9AM/ Wrestling begins at 9:45

Afternoon Sessions - weigh ins 12:45PM/ Wrestling begins at 1:30

Admission for youth wrestlers and spectators under 6th free OYWA, but there is an entrance fee for spectators of $5.00 or an optional season pass available for $35.00.

Other Competitions: Throughout the season, I will suggest that we go to Saturday or Friday night competitions, most of which can be found at www.ohiotournaments.com   These will be optional, but I believe that getting match experience is important for our young wrestlers to grow in the sport.

Equipment:

Each wrestler is responsible for providing their own wrestling shoes and head gear.  These can be purchase at most sporting good stores.

A Lake Catholic Single will be available for purchase before our first Sunday Meet.
