Tim Jones

       Girls Head Varsity Basketball Coach

Coach Tim played High school basketball at Adams City High School where he was made a part of the 1000 Point Club that in which he achieved in 3 years, 500 Rebound Club (the only person in school history to have over 700 career rebounds), McDonald's All-American Nominee, BCI all American and a number of other awards that led to his Division 1 college career.

Tim’s initiative to develop as a player and a coach led him to play at a collegiate level where Tim led his team to the playoffs.   After leaving college, Tim played Professional in the CBA & ABA. Tim then returned to his hometown of Denver, CO. to become an individual skills trainer, competitive coach and mentor. Tim plays a large role in enhancing skills and mental capabilities needed to become a great athlete.

I started attending Ravens basketball games to show support of my daughter, Coach Addisyn Mullen, but I soon found myself a fan - cheering on a talented, energetic, and motivated team. It was a pleasure to watch the Ravens play their 2019-2020 season. And this made me realize how much I longed to return to coaching.

I have worn many hats as a coach, from little league baseball to youth recreation basketball to finally, women's high school varsity basketball coach. I spent six years as the Denver Eagles head varsity coach and in that time, the Eagles won multiple local and regional tournaments, took the FRCAA State title six times, and placed fourth at a national tournament. While the Eagles won many accolades, my pride resides in the fact that each and every player grew in ability and character. It is my hope is to bring to that culture to the Ravens.

I little about me - I am a 5th generation Coloradoan, the mother of three, I homeschooled all three kids, and all have either graduated from or presently attending college. I, myself, am a former collegiate tennis player and I thought I'd get to that as soon my homeschool days were over, I'd get back to playing. Instead, I have returned to school and am pursuing a degree from Arizona State University in order to teach biology/ health at the secondary level. I love hiking, agriculture, and pretty much all sports.

Basketball has always been a part of my life. I grew up playing in the YMCA at a young age, fell in love with the game, and played every year since then, all the way through my first year of college.

I graduated high school in 2014. I was home schooled during high school, and participated in a concurrent enrollment program where I took classes at Front Range Community College. Throughout high school, I played basketball for the Denver Eagles, who played in the Front Range Christian Athletic Association. As a point guard, I was a four- year varsity starter and letterwoman, and received numerous All- Conference, All Tournament, and MVP awards. During my time with the Eagles, we won the FRCAA state championship four years in a row. In addition to the Eagles, I also played club basketball for the Colorado Rush - now known as Colorado Prospects Academy.

After high school, I attended college at Colorado Christian University. I graduated in 2017, a full year early, with a BS in Business Administration and a BA in Psychology. I also played basketball my first year of college, and then after multiple sports injuries and surgeries, made the decision to step away from playing at the collegiate level.

I have been coaching on and off for the last few years. During college, I was the assistant coach for the Denver Eagles Women’s Varsity where we went on to win the state championship two more years in a row. I have also coached 13U club basketball for Colorado Prospects Academy. I really enjoy teaching the game I love, and getting to be a positive influence in young women’s lives. I look forward to doing the same at Riverdale Ridge!
