Summer Youth Empowerment Camp

PAL offers an annual summer youth empowerment camp that teaches teens camaraderie, teamwork, respect, self-confidence, and more through team sports and fun activities. Throughout the camp, youth will also create a public service announcement based on a topic of their choice. During their time with the PAL, campers will go on a plethora of field trips. In the past, these trips have included the movies, bowling, touring Segra Stadium and the FPD headquarters, rock climbing and jumping at JP Jumpmasters. In addition to these outings, the youth are provided catered meals for both breakfast and lunch, and transportation is also provided to and from the camp at no cost. Parents can rest easy knowing that PAL has everything taken care of.

Boxing

PAL provides training in boxing. This training is led by Retired Sgt. Greg Johnson, who has been boxing for a few decades. He currently trains six boxers through PAL and has already developed a Junior Olympic champion in the few years that he has done so. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, Retired Sgt. Johnson continued to train boxers via Zoom, which is just one example of the passion that he has for boxing. Of course, his love for boxing can be best explained by the man himself.
