2020 Important Season Update Information

West Downey Parents

As you all have probably heard by now Downey Unified School District has closed campuses and campus activities over the next two weeks. In conjunction with this and following the recommendation from Little League International we will be SUSPENDING ALL GAMES AND PRACTICES until May 15th.

This decision has not come easy as we want to ensure normalcy for our players during an uncertain time. With the closures of our schools our kids will be looking to you, their friends, social media and the television for answers. You may have even seen rumors and misinformation on social media that can cause panic. The “24 Hour Coverage” news could be challenging to our young players while they are at home, creating undue fear.

Information we receive may change the May 15th date up or back. The decision to change the date will be based on information we receive from Little League International as well as Local and State Government.

We will be ok through this and we want our kids to know that!
