Clyde LL Timber Rattlers (Minor) Grabs Lead In Third Inning To Defeat Clyde LL Brewers

Clyde LL Timber Rattlers (Minor Division) nabbed the lead late in the game in a 12-11 victory over Clyde LL Brewers on Monday. The game was tied at seven with the Timber Rattlers batting in the bottom of the third when Kekoa Hoopai singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

A four-run lead in the fourth inning was just enough for the Timber Rattlers to hold off the Brewers for the victory.

The Brewers got things moving in the first inning. Tristan Polk doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Kameron Booker earned the win for the Timber Rattlers. The pitcher lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out four and walking one. Braxton Hayhurst threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Hayes Whitlock took the loss for the Brewers. The hurler allowed three hits and six runs over one-third of an inning.

Hoopai went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Timber Rattlers in hits. The Timber Rattlers stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Welden Whitehead led the way with three.

The Brewers tallied six hits on the day. Deklyn Fenwick and Polk each had multiple hits for the BrewersWyatt Graven led the Brewer with five stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases. The Brewers were sure-handed and completed great plays in the field. Brody Whitlock made the most plays with three.
