Bats Blistered As Clyde LL Mudcats (Minor) Barely Slides by the Clyde LL Rangers, 13-12

Bats were blistered as Clyde LL Mudcats (Minor Division) defeated Clyde LL Rangers 13-12 on Monday.

The Rangers got things moving in the first inning. Riggyn Saunders drove in one when Saunders singled.

In the bottom of the third inning, the Mudcats tied things up at 12 when Hagen Hildreth drew a walk, scoring one run.

The Rangers scored five runs in the second inning. The Rangers offense in the inning was led by Luke KalinecWesten Moore, and Jhett Hubbard, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Hagen Gomez led the the Mudcats to victory on the mound. The pitcher went one inning, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out three and walking zero. Hildreth and Haygen Aaron entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Kalinec took the loss for the RangersKalinec lasted one-third of an inning, allowing two hits and five runs while striking out one.

Jett Armstrong started the game for the Mudcats. The fireballer went one-third of an inning, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out one Saunders started the game for the Rangers. The hurler allowed six hits and eight runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out four

The Mudcats socked two home runs on the day. Hildreth had a long ball in the second inning. Eli Maynard went deep in the third inning.

The Mudcats tallied eight hits in the game. Armstrong and Maynard each racked up multiple hits for the MudcatsMaynard and Armstrong each collected two hits to lead the Mudcats. The Mudcats were sure-handed in the field and completed several great plays. Hildreth had the most chances in the field with three. Gomez led the Mudcats with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 12 stolen bases.

The Rangers racked up eight hits in the game. Kalinec and Saunders all had multiple hits for the RangersKalinec went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Rangers in hits. The Rangers tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Moore led the way with three.
