2020 FALL SEASON REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

Hi All,

The Salem Youth Baseball League (SYBL) hopes that you’re healthy and well.

The SYBL is opening softball and baseball registration for the FALL 2020 season.

You can register now at www.salemll.org

NOTE: The SYBL fully understands that there is plenty of uncertainty, so we kindly asks that you don't pay at this time and carry a balance. If there is a season then you can login and pay the balance. If there isn't a season then we can simply “cancel” the fall season orders. This will prevent us from having to issue any refund checks

As part of the State of CT Phase 2 Re-Opening Plan, little league baseball & softball were allowed to resume over the summer. The SYBL (and all other towns playing LL baseball & softball over the summer) created a COVID-19 Re-Opening Plan and implemented it. The Salem Recreation Commission and Town of Salem, permitted the SYBL to use the baseball and softball fields (in town) to practice “at our own risk”. However, games versus other towns, are not being played in Salem (until further notice).

There are two Salem teams currently playing (this summer), an Intermediate Baseball and a Junior/Seniors Softball. Both teams have been practicing in Salem and playing away games. These boys & girls have adjusted to the COVID-19 safety rules and are having a lot of fun.

The SYBL will continue to work closely with and support the decisions of our Recreation Commission and Town of Salem leadership.

For any parents wanting to manage/coach baseball or softball during the fall session, please indicate your interest in volunteering upon registering your child. Little League Baseball of American mandates that all volunteers must complete a background check. Upon indicating your interest in volunteering for the SYBL (during the registration process), our League Safety Officer will send you a link for the background check via email.
