We have a “Forms” tab on our website which gives you the option to print off a paper registration form that you can simply mail back in if you prefer paper over online stuff.
We will be hosting a few coaches classes coming up in February and in March for all grade levels. If you’re interested or would like to be more familiar with soccer just follow our Facebook page (Coos County Youth Sports) and we will be posting the dates, events and news as they get closer.
I’m available to meet up with coaches/clubs in the off season to go over any details or ideas on improving each season. When the season starts everything’s locked in and we reopen it before the following seasons start.
Our Spring Soccer Seasons first game is on the first Saturday in April and run into May on Saturdays for grades k-3rd. 4th-12th grade teams get a couple extra weeks added for games and our end of season tournaments. Dates won’t be locked in until mid March.
Teams are broken down as follows:
K/1st graders (minimum of 9 players to form a team, playing 8v8)
2nd/3rd graders mixed (minimum of 9 kids to form a team, playing 8v8)
4th/5th/6th graders mixed (minimum of 13 kids to form a team, playing 11v11)
7th/8th Grade U14 mixed (minimum of 13 kids to form a team, playing 11v11)
9th-12th grade mixed (minimum of 13 players to form a team, playing 11v11)
A player can play up if the parents and coach understand that they are obviously playing against older players. We do Not ever play anyone down on a younger team. If a team from another club joins our league but is mixed between grades that’s not coinciding with our league teams breakdowns, we try and match up teams of similar strength when possible but that club may end up getting less games because we don’t play down teams and it’s hard to tell the strength until the season is almost over sometimes. We encourage everyone to have the same grade/team level breakdowns.
CCYS teams will start practicing in March. The deadline for other approved clubs to enter our soccer league is mid March. We have a packet that lists the general soccer rules, times etc for each grade level and common soccer questions with answers. In the packet, we have a form that the coach completes which asks how many games they are requesting etc. this is important to fill out. I can meet up to assist with questions on the season details as needed.
Thank you very much-
CCYS
