COE East (U19)

Center of Excellence East teams are compiled of committed, skilled and athletic young ladies that desire to play soccer at the competitive travel level. The COE East program is designed to ultimately develop each player’s skills, instill confidence and sportsmanship in a team environment, while preparing for high level competitive soccer. 

Teams are coached by Jill Rutten and practice two times per week in the Olney area.  They compete in the USYSA National League, EDP Premier Divisions and Maryland State Cup. 

Coach Jill Rutten was a professional soccer player for 16 years in Japan, Sweden, Italy (2-time Italian champions), Germany and Switzerland. She was also a United States National Team player. She holds a USSF “B” license and currently coaches the FCGB CoE 2001s and Head Coach for Maryland Olympic Development Program U17s. She was inducted into the Maryland Hall of Fame in 2018 and the Springbrook High School Hall of Fame in 2015.
