What division is right for my child?

Use this Little League age chart to help determine your child's age per league guidelines.

T-Ball is for players in kindergarten.

B-Ball is for players in 1st Grader, potentially 2nd Grader depending if the player needs to develop more basic baseball skills.

Farm League is for players anywhere between 7 to 9 year old. At this level, players have a fairly good knowledge of how the game is played. Players also pitch to batters. There is also a catcher position. At this level, players are drafted to form teams.

Majors is for players 10 to 12 year old. If your child is league age 9, he/she will be evaluated by the coaches. If deemed good enough, they can be drafted on a majors team

T-Ball FAQ: How is this different from Pre T-Ball run by the Parks & Rec in pre-school?
T-Ball strives to have 10 or fewer players on a team.  Players start the season hitting off a tee, but will transition to coach pitch when they are ready.  Every player gets a chance to hit each inning. Coaches work on players understanding basic game situations and making basic plays in the field.

B-Ball FAQ
B-Ball really starts to give players a more structures "feel" for baseball. The coaches pitch to the players at this level. Players field positions and will develop catching and throwing skills. They will run the bases, get thrown out, catch pop flies, etc.. Some teams actually have a player catch behind the plate but not mandatory. There are no balls and strikes at this level. They will receive a handful of pitches at the discretion of the coaches unless they hit the ball. The coaches basically are the umpires at B-Ball level.

Farm / Minors FAQ
This is the first major step up for players. Here is where players will pitch to each other. All 9 positions are played on the field including catchers. Umpires are present to call the game including balls and strikes.

Majors FAQ
This is the next big leap for player development. This level is very competitive as the players start to pitch faster and in some cases throw variations of pitches. Batters hit the ball harder and sometime over the fence! Stealing bases are introduced. This is why its called the majors!
