Their are multiple levels of youths soccer in America. They are as follow:

*Select Soccer Team or Club is a team or club who plays middle ground between premier level and recreational soccer, providing a cost-effective alternative for the soccer experience that balances the commitment of time and money with an opportunity to learn the skills necessary to play competitive soccer. 

Our program offers for boys and girls ages U5-U19 (ages 4-18). Our teams are formed through an open training process.

Our teams play in the Puget Sound Premier League (PSPL). Teams are placed in divisions based on the ability/skill level of most of the players on that team strength with like opponents. Teams typically play in 2-4 summer tournaments, a 10-games fall season. Washington State Cup in the winter and or early spring months. Winter Futsal as well as 8-games Spring season that some of our teams choose to play in.

The time commitment for Select Club Team is a bit higher than Recreational soccer, but soccer doesn't take over completely the players' lives. Our Select teams typically play 9-10 months of the year (although some choose to play year-round) and play between 20 or more matches during that time. 

Our Teams typically practice in: 

Edmond Premier Soccer Academy Train in: Lacey / Olympia / DuPont twice per week on Mondays / Wednesdays 

Centralia City FC Train in: Centralia / Chehalis twice per week on Tuesdays / Thursdays  

(but sometimes 3 - 4 times/week) for 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs total. The atmosphere at games and practices tends to be more focused, with a high emphasis on individual skills, technical, tactical, physical, and mental development. 

Select level soccer start to requesting a level of seriousness, but, our main goals remain the same as our kids must have fun playing, growing as individuals and as a team, getting healthy exercise, learning life lessons, while competing at the appropriate skills level and playing the game they love with their friends.

How does Club Select soccer differ from the Premier program?

The differences between Select and Premier are less severe than between Rec and Select. There is typically (especially if you compare a Select "A" team to a Premier "A" team) an obvious difference in skill set, quality and speed of play and quality of competition. In addition:

• Club Select usually plays 8-10 months per year while Premier usually demands year-round play, with a break often scheduled to coincide with winter holidays.
  
• Club Select offers highly skilled and experienced paid and sometimes volunteer coaches while Premier has only full-time paid coaches who are typically more experienced with a higher level of coaching certification.
• Club Select costs (while varying per club) are approximately $550 - $1,850 per year while Premier can be up to $2,500 (or more outside our area) per year not including the extra travel involved.
• Club Select expects soccer to be top priority during fall and early winter but understands that other sports may take priority during late winter, spring and even part of summer. Most Premier teams expect soccer to be priority for most of the year.
