Phase III Updates to Spectator Counts

Waxhaw Soccer Club Home Match Guidelines and Expectations
Phase III Update

TEAMS/PLAYERS

  • Teams cannot enter a playing field unless the previous game has concluded and the teams have left the field.
  • Players MUST wear masks at ALL times at the field, except when they are on the actual field of play. This includes substitutes who are not in the game.
  • Players must answer questions in a COVID symptoms check before their match to their coach.  See questions below.
  • Any player exhibiting any COVID symptom may not participate in the match.
  • Coaches should lay out cones to provide proper spacing for player bags.
  • No benches are allowed to be used.
  • Players should use hand sanitizer before, after and when possible, during matches at breaks.

COACHES

  • Coaches MUST wear masks during the game and at all times while at the fields. If a coach temporarily removes his/her mask to give instructions, they must be at minimum 10 feet away from any other person and replace their mask immediately after giving instructions.
  • Our home coach will verify with the opposing team coach that all visiting players have cleared screening questions.  See below.
  • One day before the match is scheduled, coaches must communicate to opponent if there have been any cases of COVID within the team in the last 10 days, and if so, specific circumstances around it so that and informed decision can be made as to whether the match should be played or rescheduled.
  • Coaches are responsible for maintaining the social distancing of their teams on the sideline and ensuring that their players follow all protocols regarding mask wearing.
  •  Coaches must have their team depart the team bench area within 10 minutes of the end of the match.

SPECTATORS

  • All spectators must clear the screening question below.
  • All spectators must wear a mask to the field, during the game, and returning to the vehicle.
  • All spectators must stand or sit six feet apart from other spectators.

Safety-Training Procedures

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and NCYSA, as offered specific guidance to us during North Carolina's Phase II tiered re-opening.

Before players can train or tryout, parents must sign the attached "Hold No Harm" document.  We ask that, if you have the means, you print, sign, and bring the release with you to your first day of training.  We will have copies for you to sign, but this may take time.  If you cannot print and bring the release, please at least read through it carefully so that signing is faster.

Hold No Harm Release Form:  Hold No Harm-WAA Release to Play

New Tryout Plan! Please review the following prior to arriving at the field for tryout: Tryout Procedures at Nesbit Field 7

  2. How the field will look during training and tryouts.
  3. How we'd like you to pick-up and drop off
  4. How tryouts work before, during, and after
  5. How a sample training activity that complies with the NC Dept. Health and Human Services looks
  6. How you proceed if your child does or does not receive an offer to play based on the tryout
