The Winfield Baseball Association (WBA) was formed in the early 1990's as part of the Carroll County (MD) Recreation Council, a 501(c) (3), non-profit organization. WBA also has had a long term playing relationship dating back to the late 1960's with the Taylorsville Lion's Club when they were simply known as Winfield Baseball. The purpose of the WBA is to establish, maintain, and promote youth baseball activities for our community. WBA oversees Spring, Summer and Fall Baseball Programs with the primary focus of the WBA being children from pre-K through 9th grades.
The WBA is comprised of an all-volunteer Board of Directors. The WBA administers its baseball activities through the Board and a Committee structure by organizing and arranging the teams, coaches, umpires, schedules, tournaments, player clinics, and playing rules. Our programs are open to all boys and girls who want to play baseball. Typically we have between 200-250 participants in our programs over the course of a year. We will always work to find a place for a child that wants to play baseball. The baseball ‘experience’ starts with our youth. Our core belief is that attitude, effort, respect and team work will not only provide for success on the field but also within the community.
