"INTRODUCING" DRALL Fall Ball Academy powered by The Los Angeles Dodgers Training Academy

This Fall Season, Del Rey American Little League (DRALL) is very excited to partner with the Los Angeles Dodgers Training Academy to provide DRALL players 7-12 years old and families with high quality baseball training and skills development to improve the value of league baseball, make the overall league more competitive, and provide an environment that values the development of each individual player and team.

The relationship built between player and coach is a contributing factor in shaping the experience that each player has in baseball. In an environment free from the fear of failure, each player can perform to the best of their ability without the worry of negative feedback/judgment based on results. Players are engaged by professionals who played at the highest level of baseball, who deliver accurate information to each player, no matter what their current ability level is, to provide an avenue for progression in skill development and love for the game.

We at DRALL decided we wanted to provide our local youth baseball players with an exciting and unique Fall Ball experience never before offered in the area.

Divisions of Play

Division placement for Intrasquad and Games against other little leagues in District 37 is determined by a combination of variables including player league age, skill level, prior league experience, prior coach recommendation (if applicable), Little League guidelines, and parent input/request. The registration application will ask several questions to help us determine the correct division for your child based on these variables.

Games, Practice Schedules, Locations

The Los Angeles Dodgers Training Academy will hold clinic style practice sessions at American Field on the following Sundays from 2:00 pm - 3:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - September 22nd and 29th, October 6th, 13th, and 20th.

Intrasquad and District games will be posted in the coming weeks. Games will be played at the DRALL Fields (Krauch Field at Del Rey Lagoon in Playa Del Rey and American Field in Westchester). The upper divisions (Minors and Majors) may also play away games at opposing teams Little League fields.

Equipment

Please be sure your player is properly equipped for practices and games. That includes a baseball hat, baseball glove, shirt, baseball pants and belt, socks, cleats, athletic supporter and cup. DRALL will provide a limited number of bats for use at the fields, but it's a good idea to purchase one for your player. Bats must be certified with the USA logo stamp. Wood bats are also allowed for use during the Fall Season.
