Off Season Training began at Ingram Little League in September 2012. The League saw the need to offer extra practice time for those players ages 8-12 that had a desire to play baseball or softball in High School. In 2018, the program was expanded to include 7 year olds.

The 2019 OST Program is organized and Directed by Scott Lewis.

The OST program will afford interested players the opportunity to enhance their baseball/softball skills, knowledge of the game and team participation in the off-season. This program is administered by Ingram Little League.

The program is offered to players who will be League Age 7 to 12 for the upcoming League season - both baseball and softball. Players must reside within our League boundaries (generally, player qualifies if he/she attends Ingram ISD, Hunt ISD, or Divide ISD) and have played on a Little League team during the prior season.

This program is not designed as "play time" for the players nor a baby-sitting service for the parents.

The program is be completely volunteer for both the players and participating coaches. No fees are required except to cover costs of tournament participation should we decide to host tournaments in Ingram, or participate in out-of-town tournaments, and associated costs to use the fields should any costs arise.

Coaches are made up of existing Ingram Little League coaches (other coaches approved on an individual basis) who have volunteered their time. These coaches have already had background checks and therefore would be acceptable to Ingram Little League. Should a person request to help coach, they will have to submit to and pass a background check prior to participating in the program.

Our focus this season will be on Hitting and Base Play Knowledge and Pitching training.

Other goals include:
Develop the fundamental skills for each age group to end-of-division levels including Hitting, Throwing, Catching, Fielding, Base Running, etc.
    •    Implement proven practice methods, and develop improved methods, that facilitate OST  goals.
    •    Enhance the coaching & practice preparation skills of our coaches.
    •    Improve player/team competitiveness through skill building.
    •    Reinforce team participation, positive attitudes, solid character foundation and mutual respect between all participants.
