Q: What does the practice & game schedule look like?
A: Practices for the Spring season begin in February and games begin on Opening day in March and end in May. Post season play (All-Stars and Tournament of Champions) begins in June. Games during the week are scheduled for 5pm or 7pm. Games occur on Saturday from 9am to 7:30pm. The season game schedule will be available by Opening Day in early March. Practice schedules are determined by each coach after teams are formed in February.
Q: What is Little League's new policy for league boundaries and schools?
A: Little League has amended its residency requirements to allow children to play in the local league whose boundaries where they attend school is located. Simply present a report card or proof of school attendance with your registration documents and your son/daughter will be eligible to play during the regular season and during the All-Stars with us!
Q: What are OWLL's league boundaries?
A: Please enter your address or your school address on Little League's League Finder to see to which league you belong to.
Q: Can children who do not live within the league's boundaries play for OWLL?
A: Yes, if the child attends school within our boundaries. If your child doesn't live within our boundaries or attend a school within our boundaries, he/she can only play at our park if they qualify for a Little League waiver. Visit the Types of Waiver page of the Little League website for more information. You can also contact the league if you have more questions.
Q: When does Registration occur?
A: Registration for Spring 2025 will begin on November 2, 2024 until February 21, 2025.
Q: Is my child guaranteed a spot on a team?
A: Yes! Every child that has completed their registration on time will be placed on a team.
Q: Are there any discounts available?
A:Yes! There is a $20 discount for families that participate in early registration (All November). There will also be a $10 discount which will apply to families registering in December. Also, families registering multiple children receive a $10 discount on every child beginning with the third child. Finally, any family that commits a sponsor for a $300 or more donation will receive one free child registration.
Q: Are Player Assessments mandatory?
A: Yes! All players league age 8 or older must attend player assessments. Returning Major players do not need to try-out.
Q: When will I be contacted by my new team manager?
A: For our Spring season, teams are drafted in late January and announced in early February.
Q: How do I volunteer to become a team manager?
A: If you are interested in being considered for a role as a manager or coach, please sign up for a volunteer role during registration and contact the division coordinator. Or click HERE
Q: I am presented with multiple division options for registration. Which division should I choose?
A: Our system presents options based on your child’s "League Age". Some of our division age groups overlap. Please select the division you would like your child to play in. For our Spring season, your child will then be evaluated (for League Age 8's and above) and drafted to the division appropriate for his or her skill level.
Q: I signed up but decided not to play, how can I request a refund?
A: Please email us to request a refund prior to the first game of the season. We issue refund by check as our online system does not support credit/debit refunds. Once players have been drafted to a team or on lower minor division been given a jersey and hat, registration fees are non-refundable. Late Fees and Background Fees are Non-Refundable.
