Registration opened February 10th for the 2025 Spring Recreation Season

Registrations are accepted on a first come basis, all players will initially register for the waitlist and be activated in accordance with the below outline. Once teams have reached their maximum capacity, additional players will remain on a wait list and will only be added to a team if a spot becomes available.

Registration preference for players will be given as follows:
      1) Players who reside or attend school within the Dallas SD
      2) Returning players from previous year.
      3) All other players 

*DYS offers the following age groups:
      3rd/4th grade
      5th/6th grade
      7th/8th grade

*Players must play in the corresponding age division based on their current school grade. Players may only "play up" in an older age division if approved by DYS (this also applies to 2nd graders).

Practices generally begin in April. The practice schedule (days, times, locations) is determined by each team's coaching staff.

Teams practice 2-3x per week, depending on age division. 

Softball games generally played May through Mid July

Softball players must have their own glove, batting helmet (with a full-face mask), and bat. Bats can be shared with other players.

Softball players will be provided with a team jersey as a uniform. Players may be required to purchase baseball pants, belt, and socks as requested by the coaching staff.
