The Ohio Bison Collegiate team is part of the Ohio Collegiate Summer Baseball League. Our team consists of players from Central Ohio that are current collegiate players or graduating seniors that are signed to play in college the following year.

The Bison are looking to have another strong season as the defending 2022 regular season Champions! 
 


The 2023 season kicked off Saturday June 3rd at Don Edwards Park. The Bison hosted the Dayton Thunderbirds in a double hitter. The Bison swept the series with a 6-2 win in game one, and a 6-4 win in game two. The winning pitcher from game one was Reece Crabtree, Elijah Griffith picked up the win in game two. The collegiate boys will be back in action on Wednesday June 7th at home against the TNT Knights, with a start time of 7:30pm.  

The collegiate team was back in action this past week on Wednesday June 7th, against the TNT Knights. They also squared off Thursday night June 8th against the Chillicothe Capitals. Corey Bradford picked up the win for the Bison against TNT in a 10-4 win. Reece Crabtree improved to 2-0 on the season with a 10-2 win against the Capitals at home. The Bison improved to 4-0 on the season and currently sit alone at the top of the OCSBL standings! They head to Tipp City for a DH against the Turn 2 Baseball Saturday June 10th. The are back in action Monday 12th at Don Edwards Park at 7:30pm.

The Bison split a pair with Turn 2 last Saturday. They lost game one 8-5, but bounced back to win the second game of the series 10-6. On Monday the Bison played their 3rd game of a 4 game series against Turn 2. The Herd fell in a pitchers duel 2-0 in a game that only lasted an hour and half.

On the week of June 12-18th the collegiate team went 1-2. The won a home game against the Columbus Bruins 8-4, with Blake Jodrey picking up the win for The Herd. On the week of June 19-25th weather altered the schedule games greatly. We went 3-2 last week with a home loss Turn 2 Baseball and a loss on the road against the capitals. We beat the Marlins on Wednesday June 21st on the road and capped of the week with a DH sweep of the TNT Knights at home Sunday evening June 25th. We also had a game against the Columbus Bruins get postponed in the top of the 6th in a 4-4 tie on the road. 

On Monday June 27th the collegiate guys took on The Chillicothe Capitals. The bats exploded early in what was a rout with the Bison winning 10-0 in a mercy rule game.  

The collegiate team finished 17-11 in the 2023 regular season. They were the #3 seed for the playoffs, where they went 3-2 and were bumped out in the semifinals against the TNT Knights. They finished the season 20-13 overall.

We are excited to see the Collegiate Bison return to action June 2024!
