On my own I will just create, and if it works, it works, and if it doesn't, I'll create something else. I don't have any limitations on what I think I could do or be. Passion is energy. Sportsmanship:Coach Didi is very patient and kind and always goes above and beyond for her players and their parents. She has a strong desire to coach soccer and truly dedicates all of her time too coaching. She has a sparkling personality that creates an eagerness to learn from the players. She demonstrates strong professionalism when out on the field with her teams. Coach Didi not only focuses on responsibility on the field, but also at home. She encourages the kids to participate in taking care of their homes and their things, specifically their rooms. She ensures that the kids are being responsible and respectful of their things on and off the field. Coach Did is very punctual and dedicated to her line of work. The joy of her work shows every single minute she spends with her teams.

This award was established in 1999 and recognizes the impact of the dedication and commitment of women in soccer in Illinois. Your individual contributions to the sport as a player, coach, manager, official, and/or volunteer are being recognized.DiDi Barreto played a key role in the development of former Flyer Anthony Szymel. Personal Coaching DevelopmentCoach Didi is a wonderful source of inspiration for the kids and encourages them to be better. Coach has her own successes that include playing for the Brazilian National team, as she was born in Brazil. She was a member of the national team that finished fourth in the 1996 Olympics and third at the 1988 and 1999 World Cup. She has played on several championship teams at the professional level and was even awarded the Best Female Athlete of 1996 by the Brazilian Association of Sports Chroniclers. Coach Didi has coached at many levels in the Chicagoland area. Coach Didi has a lot of passion in soccer and coaching, and this led her to found her own soccer club in Naperville known as the Wolf Soccer Club.
Player development:Coach Didi has a tremendous amount of talent that she is able to incorporate into each practice and game. She also works independently with her players and also works as a skills and goalkeeper coach/trainer. Coach Didi enforces good teamwork on and off the field, and encourages her kids/players to be kind to one another and is always a great source of confidence for each kid. She encourages each kid to do a "little extra" each practice and game. Her love for the sport of soccer has allowed her to be able to provide and extensive amount of knowledge for male and female athletes. All the players have nothing but high respect for Coach Didi, as she always provides a very wide range of knowledge in her expertise of soccer as well as focusing on each player personal development, responsibility, respect, and discipline.
