In preparation for the upcoming season we will be holding two sets of clinics. Attendance of at least ONE indoor clinic and at least ONE outdoor clinic is required for all those who wish to umpire this Spring. It is recommended, but not required, to attend the indoor clinic first.
Here are answers to some common questions:
- The clinics are free; no RSVP required.
- Everyone is welcome (parents, friends, etc.)
- You do not have to umpire just because you go to the clinic; the clinic is a great way to learn more about what is involved with being an umpire.
- Food will NOT be provided
Indoor Clinic – D45 Rules Clinic
Covering rule knowledge, how to interpret/enforce rules, and how to BE an umpire (think, act, etc).
When: February 6, 2022 1pm-4pm
Location: Creekside Middle School Cafeteria
Outdoor Clinic – Field Mechanics
Covering how to make calls, how to position yourself and move around the field (plate and bases), safety for yourself and others.
March 6, 2022 11am-1pm
Location: Five Canyons Park
