2022 PARK MS Baseball 7-8 Grade
Spring baseball for 7th and 8th graders at Parma middle school (offered by PARK)
We have been working hard for the last 3-4 years building a vertical program from T-ball all the way through High School baseball. We are one to two years away from being competitive at STATE! 7-8 grade baseball is essential to this brick and mortar baseball program. We have a great coaching staff dedicated to preparing student athletes to be competitive baseball players in High School. Come be a part of a growing successful program.
Participating Middle Schools: Payette, Fruitland, Weiser, Homedale, New Plymouth, Burns, Parma
Practice starts: March 7th (tentative) Game dates Saturdays: 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30 (tentative) (10 game season)
Tournament date: 5/7
Game time: All games are on Saturdays.
Round robins start at 10:30 am. Double headers would start at 12:00 pm
League Rules:
5 inning games, or 2 hour time limit IHSAA rules, with JV pitching rules in effect, EH (extra hitter) allowed Line up only applies to batting order. Free substitutions defensively. 8th graders play first game. 7th graders play second game.
This is not a school sponsored sport, it is recreational baseball through Parma Lion’s PARK. The goal is player development, introducing the players to a full size baseball field, and playing on the same team with their classmates from their school.
Registration Frees: $50 dollars.
All participants will be required to participate in volunteering to keep our registration fee this low.
Parents will be required to volunteer for some assignments during home games (field prep- score keeper etc.) and running the concessions for our home games. The concessions sales will help pay for the umpire fees and some needed equipment.
Parents will provide transportation.
Registration dates: regular registration through Feb 26th ($50).
Late registration closes Mar 5th ($60).
