All 10U, 12U, and 14U teams play in the Lancaster County Youth Baseball League. Each age group is divided into 3 levels: Section 1, Section 2, and Section 3.
10U Baseball
Open gyms start in the beginning of January at Millersville University. Evaluations will take place in the beginning of February and then teams will be formed. Players are placed on either a Section 1, Section 2, or Section 3 team based on skill level and experience.
Outdoor practices start in the middle of March and regular season games will begin in April and go through the middle of June. During the regular season, there are generally 2 games a week and a night of practice. All players will be provided a jersey with their name and number on it as well as a team hat. Players will need to purchase baseball pants, socks, and cleats. All players should have a bat, glove, and helmet as well.
The 10U Section 1 team is made up of the more experienced, qualified 9 & 10 year olds. This team is our most competitive level of play at 10U and their competition will be against the best teams from school districts throughout Lancaster County. This level of play requires more commitment than Section 2 and 3 and the teams are selected based off player evaluations. The 10U Section 1 LNP Tournament is the second week of July. The 10U Section 2 Year End Tournament is held the last weekend of June.
