Sanborn Baseball is run exclusively by volunteers from the Sanborn district and is made up of three different programs from ages 6 through 12 years old.
Rookie (ages 6-7)- Early Developmental League. Coach pitch to all players (usually soft toss). All players play in the field and bats each inning. Teams record outs if a play is made in the field. 3 inning games. Introduction to playing local teams within our Quintown family.
AA National (ages 7-8)- Developmental League focusing on getting the players more confident in facing player pitching. This league is more competitive than rookie ball and has playoffs. Teams at this level are picked based on an evaluation process. The league starts off as 3 innings of coach pitch followed by kid pitch, then changes to 2innings of coach pitch followed by kid pitch. Traditional baseball rules with 3 outs and the innings are over. 60-foot bases with kids pitching from 41 feet, stealing only when the ball crosses plate and players cannot steal home plate. Five Run limit in innings to help game move along. Continuous batting so everyone gets at bats. Nine players on the field using a level 5 ball. Travel could be to any of the nine towns in Quintown. Kingston, Newton, Plaistow, Atkinson, Danville, Fremont, Hampstead, Sandown and Chester. Games historically are Monday, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
AA American (ages 8-9) - Still developmental.
AAA National (ages 9-10)
AAA American (ages 10-12)- Major 60’s is still a Developmental league focusing on becoming a better baseball player to help them in the next level. This level is a competitive division with a playoff at the end of the regular season. Teams at this level are picked based on an evaluation process. Traditional Baseball rules with a few modifications to fit the Cal Ripken Rules that are followed by Quintown. 60-foot bases with players pitching the entire game from the 46 foot mound. No Leading, Stealing is allowed only with the ball crossing the plate. Five runs limit each innings to help move games along. Nine players on the field using a hard baseball. Continuous batting is allowed so everyone is in the lineup to heat. Travel could be to any of the nine towns in Quintown. Kingston, Newton, Plaistow, Atkinson, Danville, Fremont, Hampstead, Sandown and Chester.
Major 70s (ages 11-12) – Major 70 is the most competitive level of baseball for the Quintown league. It is a skill based level in Quintown. The best players in the Major division will be asked to play at this level. Once the players are placed in the 70s level they cannot go down and play Major 60s. Teams at this level will be picked based on an evaluation process. This level is getting the players ready to play at the middle school level. Traditional Baseball Rules a few modifications to fit in with the Cal Ripken Rule Book that is followed by Quintown. 70-foot bases with players pitching the entire game from a 50 foot mound. Leading and stealing is allowed at any time. There are no run limits in the innings. Continuous batting is allowed so that everyone hits. Nine Players are on the field using a hard baseball. Travel could be to any of the towns in Quintown. Kingston, Newton, Plaistow, Atkinson, Danville, Fremont, Hampstead, Sandown and Chester.
For the Quintown League that Sanborn participates in and plays for the New Hampshire State Cal Ripken League. The only bats that are allowed in the league are USA Baseball Stamped bat and Wooden Bats.
