If your child is between the ages of 5‐13, interested in learning the fundamentals of football, and desires to play in a competitive league, you have found the right place. Fluvanna Youth Football (FYF for short) is committed to enabling children to benefit from participation in team sports and activities in a safe and structured environment. Through active participation, Fluvanna Youth Football programs teach fundamental values, skills and knowledge that children will use throughout their lives.

We are a proud member of the Jefferson District Youth Football League (www.jdyfl.org) and subscribe to USA Heads Up tackling fundamentals. Our season runs from mid-July through early November, with conditioning kicking off in early July; games beginning in early September, and playoffs beginning in early November.

Practice varies by team, but you can expect practice two nights a week, with most practices lasting about 2 hours.

Age Groups and Teams (age as of August 1, 2024):

Registration is $150 per child, with a $50 discount (per additional child) for families with multiple children. We provide equipment (helmet, pads), a jersey, and a structured environment in which your child can learn the game of football. Players are responsible for provision of mouthpiece, pants (with integrated pads and / or a girdle), cleats, and a water bottle.
