Upholding the standards of conduct is the responsibility of all Boerne Lacrosse Board Members, players, coaches, parents, and friends. Our personal conduct must reflect this commitment to our high ethical standards. We are all accountable for compliance of the Boerne Lacrosse Code of Conduct. We ultimately rely on each person’s good judgment and character to adhere to the standards set forth in the code of conduct. If you are in doubt about the best course of action in a particular situation, please seek guidance from a coach or board member. Our goal is to comply at all times. In circumstances where the policy is violated, Boerne Lacrosse is required to act to protect all participants involved. This means that when a violation has been identified and verified, appropriate action commensurate with the nature and extent of the violation will be taken.

These actions will include the following:

1. Verbal Notifications – An official verbal notification from coaches or board members will be provided for minor or first-time violations. If a child is provided a verbal notification, a message will be sent to the parents to inform them of the issue. 

2. Official Notification – If a second similar offense of or violations of a more serious nature occur, an official response will be provided from the Board concerning the incident. The notification will address the issues and corrective actions that need to occur to avoid any further issues.

3. Board Review – If a third similar offense or a violation of policy in an extreme nature occurs, a request for an official review by the board will be convened with the violator. The board will review the circumstances and provide a remedy to the situation to include up to removal from the program.

Our goal is to have a limited need to address any violations during our season. If there are issues or concerns, please bring them forward as soon as possible so alternate means may be taken to address and resolve any issues prior to them violating the policies.
