Q: What are the age limits?
A: In order to maintain a fair and competitive league for everyone, Little League adheres to a strict age calculator for baseball and softball. You can view your child’s “league age" by clicking on the attached link:

Q: What division should my child play?
A: Shik LL will offer the following divisions for the following ages:
T-ball for boys and girls - ages 4-5 (some 6 year olds)
Rookies coach pitch baseball - ages 6-7 (some 5 and some 8 year olds)
Rookies coach pitch softball - ages 6-7 (some 5 and some 8 year olds)
Minors boys baseball - ages 8-9 (some 7 year olds and 10 year olds with special permission)
Minors girls softball - ages 8-9 (some 7 year olds and 10 year olds with special permission)
Majors boys baseball - ages 10-12 (some 9 year olds but NO 13 year olds)
Majors girls softball - ages 10 - 12 (some 9 year olds but NO 13 year olds)
Juniors boys baseball - ages 13-14
Juniors girls softball - ages 13-14
Seniors boys baseball - ages 15-16
Q: Does baseball/softball start and end?
A: T-ball and Rookie seasons will run from early April through early/mid July. Players participating in Minors, Majors and Juniors will begin practice in early March and conclude their regular season in early June. Players from these divisions who are selected to the league's tournament teams will have the opportunity to play games into July and August!
