IT'S TIME FOR SMLL BASEBALL!

Please note, that due to the rain projected over the next week, the 2026 evaluations have been MOVED.
The NEW EVALUATION DATE IS THURSDAY, JANUARY 8, 2026. We appreciate your flexibility and
understanding with this change. Due to this change, LEAGUE AGE 7 PLAYERS will NO LONGER be
asked to attend a tryout. If you have safety concerns for your league age 7 player or feel they should play
in the farm division.

Evaluations will be held at Tijeras Creek Park - Thursday 1/8/26

SMLL EVALUATION DAY IS FOR OUR LEAGUE AGE 8-12's

If your player is aged 4-6, they do NOT need to attend evaluation day.  They will automatically be placed
either in the Rookie or Farm division. If your player is aged 13+, they also will NOT need to attend
evaluations and will be placed on our Junior team. League age 7 players will be placed in the Single A
division unless a safety concern or parent request has been brought to the league’s attention.

If your player is aged 8-12, they will need to be evaluated in order to be eligible for the AA, AAA or Majors
draft based on their age.  This is a Little League rule, not a local rule.  If your player cannot attend the
evaluation day, please reach out to the player agent at [email protected] for further
instruction.

You will notice that this year we have moved to a common pool format. This is in response to current
league size and stakeholder input in regards to a desire to have the opportunity to play with all players
and managers.

Teams will be drafted and formed over the next few weeks.  You will hear from your manager sometime
around mid January. For our lower divisions, we will be doing our best to form teams based on friend
requests.  Our upper divisions will be drafted by the Managers after evaluations are completed.

Please see the evaluation schedule for your time slot: 2026 SMLL EVALUATION TIMES

Evaluation Day Details:
-Location: Tijeras Creek Park
-Arrival time: 20 minutes before scheduled evaluation time
-League age 8-9 year-olds will be evaluated on Field 1 (Back corner closest to the Toll Road)

-The older the player, the more efficiently we can maintain the schedule. As the player groups get
younger, the group pace tends to slow down a bit.
-Due to a tight schedule, please be on time.
-Those who registered AFTER Wednesday January 7th, your player will be placed on a waitlist
and considered on a case by case basis.
-Players can wear athletic shoes, turf shoes or cleats (no metal cleats allowed).

leave extra equipment at home. No personal equipment will be shared. If you forget a glove,
helmet or league approved bat your child will not be evaluated.

area.
-There will be uniform sizing on site. Sizes are not guaranteed, but we will do our best. Please
stop by the sizing area near the registration table before or after your time slot to confirm spelling
of last name and indicate size preference.

-VERIFICATION AVAILABLE ALL DAY! Be sure to bring your documentation. This needs to be
done annually.

Please note that your documents must be verified before the start of the 2026 season. For all players, a

residency is required (which demonstrates your player lives within the league boundary) OR a School
