T-Ball: (Ages 5-7) Players that are Little League ages 5-7 are eligible to participate in the Ellington T-ball Program. 7 year olds who participate at this level should be new to baseball. Any Player(s) who sign up prior to registration closing will be placed on a team based on discretion of the T-ball/Instructional League Director. The manager’s and coach’s child(ren) will be placed on the same team. The number of players that sign up will determine the number of teams. Instructional: (Ages 7-9) Players that are Little League ages 7-9 are eligible to participate in the Ellington Instructional Program. This level is similar to Tee Ball, but coaches will generally pitch to players during games rather than children predominately hitting off the tee. Any Player(s) who sign up prior to registration closing will be placed on a team based on discretion of the T-ball/Instructional League Director. The manager’s and coach’s child(ren) will be placed on the same team. The number of players that sign up will determine the number of teams. Farm: (Ages 7-10) The Farm League concept is to provide a transition year(s) for players between the Instructional League and the Minor/Major League Divisions. Little League Age 7, 8, 9, - Players are required to attend an evaluation to play in the Farm league. Age 7-9 players not selected to play in the Farm league or choose to not be evaluated for Farm league will play in the Instructional League. See local rules for eligibility requirements. Little League Age 10 - Players who do not get selected via an evaluation to play in the Minor league, will be eligible for and will play in the Farm League. The Farm League Director will conduct a draft with the team managers to assign these players to teams.

Minors: (Ages 8-11) Players who: (1) choose not to play in the Major League; or (2) try out for the Majors League and are not drafted onto a Major League team will play in the Minor League program. Players between the ages of 10 through 12 years old can try out for the Major League. We encourage all eligible players in that age range to try out. The Minor League is a competitive program that incorporates a "recreation" philosophy. Whereas, the players in this league are playing by Major League rules, with a few exceptions. This league stresses the teaching of baseball fundamentals and sportsmanship. A playoff championship will occur at the end of the season. The Minor League Director will conduct a draft with the team managers to assign these players to teams. Little League Age 8, 9, 10 - Evaluations are required for placement in either the Farm or Minor leagues. Players, who do not get selected to play in the Minor league, will be eligible for and will play in the Farm league. See local rules for eligibility requirements. Majors: (Ages 9-12) The Major League is a competitive program that incorporates a "travel team" philosophy. Player's knowledge and experience will grow with the regular game schedule, potential post season play, and the extensive practice schedule. Players between the ages of 10 through 12 who are interested in playing in the Majors are selected through an evaluation and draft process. All 12 year olds will play in Majors unless their skill level would present a safety issue. Players are all redrafted each year.

Juniors: (Ages 13-15) The Junior League program is open to players between the ages of 13-15. The teams from Ellington will play against teams from surrounding towns.
