There are volunteer opportunities for any skill-set or commitment level. We have opportunities available at the league level, team level, and individual level.

Individual Opportunities

Field and Grounds Crew

As a member of the committee, you would assist in maintenance of a field or several fields. Depending on your commitment level and availably, duties would include:
  • Preparing and lining fields for game day activities.
  • Infield resurfacing and repair.
  • Fence repair and maintenance.
  • Field house maintenance.
  • Safety evaluations and remediations.

Concessions

We rely on volunteers to run our concessions. We are trying to establish a solid core of volunteers to help enhance our concessions offerings and provide additional income to help offset registration fees and fund future improvements.

Umpire

We use volunteer umpires at all levels of play. You will only be assigned to divisions that you are comfortable working in. We provide multiple training opportunities for volunteers interested in umpiring for the first time. Our umpires have additional opportunities to volunteer at the district level and above, culminating in the Little League World Series.

Team Opportunities

Team Manager

Team Managers (Head Coaches) are responsible for all aspects of their team. Some responsibilities include:

  • Communication with Coaching Coordinators
  • Recruiting assistant coaches
  • Communications with parents and players
  • Making practice plans and organizing practices
  • Communicating with other coaches and attending coach's meetings
  • Evaluation of players and player draft
  • Postseason team selection vote
  • Knowledges of rules and regulations
  • Pre-game meetings with officials and opposing managers

Team Parent

The Team Parent is responsible for off-field organization and parent communication. Some responsibilities may include:

  • Managing concessions volunteer list and filling concessions dates.
  • Managing team fundraiser
  • Coordinating picture day
  • Uniform distribution
  • Organizing end of season party

Assistant Coach

Team Managers rely on assistant coaches to implement practice plans and help at game time. Duties will vary based on the Team Manager's needs.

Scorekeeper

Scorekeepers manage the Team Manager application and keep score during the games. This job requires an attention to detail and ability to pay attention to every pitch of the game. Scorekeepers may work from the field house or the stands depending on their preference.

Announcer/Scoreboard Operator

Each team is required to provide an announcer during home games. The announcer introduces players, leads the teams in the national anthem, and announces players from both teams during games. The announcer may also operate the scoreboard or work with another volunteer in the fieldhouse.

Board Membership

There are roles available on our board of directors. We hold annual elections for board membership. Board members are elected based on the number of available seats on the board. A board member may change role from year to year based on their interests and commitment level. The Board of Directors vote internally on each role once the board membership is decided. For more information on the individual roles on the board you can get more information on the Little League International website.
