The Little Kickers Program is for younger children with the purpose of teaching the fundamentals and a love for the game of soccer! Players will follow a curriculum that works on proper technique for kicking, passing, dribbling, ball control and teamwork through fun games and skills training.
Communication is key. The coach communicates with each player through simple, clear instruction and demonstration to ensure the child understands the skill being introduced.
Each week, the players will review the previous week’s new skill and incorporate it into each of the following lessons. The program allows appropriate rest when needed but also has continuous movement in order to prevent restlessness in the young players.
Since this program is focused on the learning and developing of fundamental skills, the culmination of all that has been learned throughout the program will be displayed in the final week as the players scrimmage the last 30 minutes of the training session and show off what they have learned.
Players in the program must be potty trained and no older than four years old. It is a coed program. Parent participation is not required and all parents and siblings must remain on the sidelines.
Current cost for the season is $75 and includes a ball and t-shirt.
