Coach Interest Form

You can now submit coach interest form for the Spring 2025 season, click on the link below to complete the form. All requirements below must be completed prior to be assigned to a team.

NOTE: Not all submissions will be guaranteed a team assignment. Coaches are approved by the Board of Directors each season and prior assignment does not guarantee future placement. Team assignments will be considered by the Board of Directors in accordance with the Mission of SLL, Little League rules and require successful completion of the 2025 Volunteer Application, Background Screening, and training requirements.

Next Steps

To be assigned to a team ALL Interested Coaches are REQUIRED to:

1) Submit a COACH INTEREST FORM

2) Register as a Head Coach Assistant Coach or Manager in our registration system (required to upload a photo of your government-issued photo ID, such as driver's license, in order to verify/complete background check in the next step.)

3) Complete Volunteer Application and Background Check (annual requirement). You will receive a link from JDP ([email protected]) with the subject line "SELMA LITTLE LEAGUE Background Questionnaire Notification," typically within 24-48 hours, after you register with background check questionnaire and volunteer application. Please email us [email protected] if you have any questions about the background check process.

4) Complete required Safety Trainings and upload PDF of corresponding Certificate of Completion to our registration portal. These trainings can be completed before or after you register; however, if you complete after then you will need to come back and upload them to your profile.

Concussion Training - HEADS UP to Youth Sports: Online Training

Scroll about halfway down the page and select "For Coaches: Click HERE to launch the course." You will create a free account to complete the training. Start by completing the pre-assessment before proceeding with the rest of the training content and post-assessment. Upload the certificate to your registration profile.

Abuse Awareness for Adults training by USA Baseball

Little League Diamond Leader Training

Manager placements will be finalized and approved by the Board (typically no later than February. Only interested managers that complete all requirements will be considered for placement.
