The Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of exciting activities and classes, sport leagues, special events, fitness activities and rentals that cater to the community and visitors. We also maintain 95 acres of parks and recreational facilities, the Municipal Beach, Sugar Hill Cemetery and the Barracuda Bay Aquatic Complex. These parks and facilities have amenities that include athletic fields, a splash park, tennis courts, basketball courts, racquetball courts, playgrounds, pavilions, a multipurpose rink, a fitness center, walking trails, an amphitheater and pristine beaches.
With more than a dozen parks and facilities, along with recreational activities and classes, the Parks and Recreation Department exemplifies the spirit of the slogan “The Best Waterfront City in Which to Live, Work and Play!”
