This is for U9-U15 Select TRYOUTS ONLY. Your child is not guaranteed a spot on a team unless they are selected during tryouts.

Please do NOT register for both rec and select. If your child is not selected, we will send out a code to get the early bird price for rec.

JUSA Select soccer acts as a “bridge” between Recreation and competitive JUSA Chelsea club soccer. This is a good path for Rec All-Star players to follow if they eventually want to move to a Club team, or just want a more competitive level of play all year round.

Please note that players may be selected on teams that do not practice in the same city in which you live. Practices may be in Yorba Linda or Placentia.

Current Chelsea SC, US Club, Cal South, and Competitive Level Players from any league cannot participate in Rec, Rec Gold, or Select Programs to protect the fairness of competition.

2025 Schedule

Registration - March-April 2025
Tryouts - April 21-25, 2025
Week of 5/1 - TEAM NOTIFICATION
Uniform ordering - May
Practice starts 7/1/25 or at coach's discretion after that date
Potential Tournaments (discretion of the coach)
PICTURE DAY - August 23rd (YLMS)
Expected First Game September 9th
Expected Last Game December 6th
Game are typically on Saturdays, however, Sunday matches are becoming normal as soccer grows in popularity.

TRYOUT DATES AND TIMES

Please arrive early as outlined below for check-in.

BOYS U9-U12 (2014-2017) - VISTA DEL VERDE PARK, Yorba Linda

DAY 1: Monday, April 21st

DAY 2: Wednesday, April 23rd

GIRLS U9-U12 (2014-2017) - MORSE ELEMENTARY, Placentia

DAY 1: Tuesday, April 22nd

DAY 2: Thursday, April 24th

Times/Location:

U9-U10 (2016-2017): 5:30 - 6:15 p.m. Check-in 5:00 - 5:30 p.m.

U11-U12 (2014-2015): 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. Check-in 6:00 - 6:30 p.m.

Tryout Info:

Day 1: Drills, skills, 1 v 1, 2 v 2

Day 2: Scrimmaging and small-sided games.

Parents are NOT allowed on the fields during tryouts.

Boys & Girls U13-U15 (2011-2013)

Friday, April 25th (1 day only) - Vista Del Verde Park, Yorba Linda

U13 (2013) 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Check-in 4:45 p.m.

U14-U15 (2011-2012) 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Check-in 5:30 p.m.
