Jim Hallonquist

Jim began his Little League career in 1985. Being a former manager, coach, and league volunteer, Jim got involved with umpiring when his local league ran short on umpires. Jim knew at the time this was his future with youth sports. Since then, Jim has umpired at several District, Sectional and State tournaments umpiring at his first State Tournament in 1997. He has umpired at seven regional tournaments in Florida and Texas. 

Jim’s accomplishments include 3 World Series, 2009 Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, PA. 2013 Big League Baseball World Series in South Carolina, and 2018 50/70 Baseball World Series in California. 

Jim’s believes in formal umpire training by attending the Williamsport Umpire School, umpire clinics at the Southwest Regional Headquarters in Waco, and annual district clinics. 

Jim enjoys teaching new and experienced umpires at the clinics, both on and off the field. Jim’s experiences will help junior umpires advance in umpiring Little League games.
