ABOUT_
The FCRA is a nonprofit organization established in 1958 in Fountain City, Indiana.  Our purpose is to organize team sports for the youth of Fountain City and surrounding areas.  The sports currently offered for our youth during the Spring/Summer is Tee Ball, Baseball, Softball. During the Fall Season we offer Flag Football and Cheerleading.

Our Staff are Volunteers. Volunteering for Fountain City Recreational Association as a board member holds significant importance for both the small town community and the youth athletes it serves.
FCRA provides a platform for community members to come together, fostering a sense of unity and belonging. As volunteers we contribute to strengthening these community ties. We demonstrates a commitment to the well-being of the community and its youth, promoting a culture of cooperation and support.
Youth sports play a vital role in the holistic development of children. Through participation in sports, young athletes learn important life skills such as teamwork, discipline, leadership, and resilience. As board members and coaches, we help ensure that these developmental opportunities are accessible to all youth in the community, regardless of their background or economic status. Safety is always our top priority at FCRA
Our coaches and board members play a crucial role in establishing and enforcing safety protocols and guidelines. The board ensures that facilities, equipment, and coaching staff meet safety standards to reduce the risk of injuries and providing parents with peace of mind. At FCRA our coaches and volunteers serve as role models, imparting valuable life lessons and instilling positive values in young athletes. Our board members support these efforts by recruiting qualified coaches, implementing character and fostering a culture of sportsmanship and fair play.
The FCRA Board wants to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where every child feels valued and accepted, regardless of their skill level or background. In summary, the volunteers for Fountain City Recreational Association both as a board and as coaches are not perfect, but are essential for fostering community engagement, promoting youth development, ensuring safety and support, and fostering a sense of belonging.
FCRA's dedication to our community is instrumental in creating positive experiences and opportunities for the youth athletes and the community as a whole.
