Chicago Little League Challenger

About Us

About Us

The benefits of sports extend far beyond physical activity and include building self-esteem, confidence and social skills. Every child deserves the opportunity to reap these important values from athletics.

For ten years, the Chicago Challenger baseball league has welcomed children ages 5-22 with physical or cognitive disabilities to join our team. While a licensed Little League Baseball program, our rules are a little different so that we may accommodate kids of all abilities -- for example, our visually impaired players use a “beeper ball” and buddies help get players to first base safely. Everyone is safe at first, and nobody is ever called out!

We emphasize fair play, team spirit and fun in a structured athletic setting.  The self-esteem of the children becomes enriched through team play and encouragement of teammates, family, and friends.

Our organization is the only Special Needs children's league in the city of Chicago.  Located at Horner Park we play a 1 hour game on Sundays from 10:00-11:00.  Our season runs May-August.  If you would like to know more please feel free to contact us at [email protected]

At Chicago Challenger Baseball every kid's a winner!
