Team Volunteers

TEAM VOLUNTEERS:

The following are volunteer opportunities at the team level.

  • Manager (1 per team)
    • Head Coach
    • Participates in draft of new players
    • Coordinates all team activities
    • Attends all League general meetings
    • Attends yearly umpire training clinic
    • Attends mandatory Managers & Coaches meeting
  • Coach (2 per team)
    • Participates in all practices & games under the direction of the Team Manager
    • Coordinates all team activities
    • Attends all League general meetings
    • Attends yearly umpire training clinic
    • Attends mandatory Managers & Coaches meeting
  • Team Mom or Dad (1 or 2 per team)
    • Distributes information to players and parents
      • Fund raisers
      • Snack bar volunteers
      • Team snacks
    • Attends all League general meetings
  • Field Volunteer (1 or 2 per team)
    • Participates in field days
    • Assist Manager and Coaches
      • In field preparation prior to each game
      • Trash removal and field raking at the end of each game
  • Volunteer Umpires (unlimited)
    • Serves as an official at games in which he or she umpires
    • Calls games in strict adherence to the Little League Playing Rules
    • Responsible for doing inspections of playing equipment before every game in which he or she umpires
    • Responsible for informing the Equipment Manager of any problems with umpiring equipment
    • Responsible for reporting any matters concerning rules violations to the Umpire-in-Chief
    • Attends yearly umpire training clinic
    • Attends all League general meetings
