About Majors
Description: Player pitch from a distance of 40 ft
Level: Competitive
Gender: Girls only
League Ages: 10-12 (Check Little League Softball Age Chart)
Players league age 12 automatically play at the Majors level.
Players league age 11 who did not play in the Majors the previous year must tryout.
Players league age 10 must tryout.
Team Selection
Majors and Minors teams for both softball and Baseball are selected after tryouts/evaluations, which are usually held in February. After these evaluations the players are selected by the coaches based on the skill level and the needs of the team. As a league, we cannot place children on certain teams because their friends are on that team, however we place/select players to make sure the league is balance with talent on each team.

Rules:
40’ from pitcher’s rubber to home plate
Pitchers are required to wear a facemask
Infielders are encouraged to wear a facemask
12” softball
No run rule per inning
Unlimited stealing – Base Runner cannot leave the base on a steal attempt until the ball crosses the plate
9 players in the field
Game length – 6 innings. If tie at the end of 6 innings, extra innings until a winner is determined
Run Rule – If one team is leading by 15 runs at the end of 3 innings or 10 runs at the end of 5 innings
