Important 2024 Dates

Feb 19: Practices begin
Mar. 9 & 10: Umpire on-field skills clinics
Mar. 13: Minor A/Majors/Umpires rules clinic (6:30 pm) & GameChanger training (7:30 pm) [Register above for both sessions]
Mar. 16: Minor A/Majors scrimmages
March 23: Opening Day
March 24: Hit-A-Thon and Pictures
March 30: Possibly no games
April 1 - April 5: No games (Lincoln spring break)
May 28-June 1: Minor A & Majors tournament
June 1: Final Saturday for T-Ball & Minor B
June 8: District 8 TOCs start
Late-June:  All Stars tournaments begin

Field Prep Duties
Home team duties:
* Put out one trash can (with new liner if necessary) at home and visitor bleachers
* Drag infield if necessary
* Water infield
* Chalk batters box and foul lines
* Install bases
* Majors & Minor A: Provide three new game balls to umpire
* Minor B: Set up and test pitching machine

Visitor team duties:
* Take trash cans back to snack bar and empty trash in dumpster if necessary. Replace liners if necessary.
* Drag infield
* Put away bases
* Field 1 & 2: sweep dirt off infield grass
* Minor B: put away pitching machine

Required Safety Training Courses & Fingerprinting
The following FREE courses are required by every manager and coach at Hoover Tyler Little League. Each course takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. You must send proof of completion to [email protected] before being assigned a team for the 2024 Little league season.

1. Concussion Awareness training

2. Sudden Cardiac Arrest training

3. Abuse Awareness for Adults
You will need to create a USA Baseball login prior to starting the course. After logging in, click the "Abuse Awareness for Adults" link to complete the course.

4. Diamond Leader

5. Fingerprinting form - Download, print, and take to your fingerprinting service of choice (search Google - there are many in Stockton).  Keep your receipt if you wish to be reimbursed.
