CHEER INFO
Season Dates/Team Rosters: Cheer season starts on August 1 and runs through early November with the possibility of running into December based on competitions and team placement. Team rosters are determined by the VP of Cheer near the beginning of the season and decisions are final. Factors such as experience, age and team needs are taken into consideration.
Practices: Practices begin August 1stand run for the duration of the month at Clem Lemire Field, typically from 6:00PM – 8:00PM with emphasis on conditioning.
Once school begins, practices are 3 days per week and typically move to an indoor location. Practices times/locations are not determined until the season begins due to scheduling and availability
Competitions:
The tentative competition schedule is as follows:
Locals:TBA
States (Regional Qualifier):TBA
Regionals (National Qualifier):TBA
Nationals: TBD in December in Kissimmee, FL
Advancement is based on the following:
-Top 3 teams in each division at States move on to Regionals
-Top 3 teams in each division at Regionals receive a bid to move on to Nationals. 1st place team in each division MUST advance to Nationals
-Nationals is a 2 day event. The top 5 teams from each division on day 1 move on to compete on day 2
What you need to provide: You will need to purchase an additional spirit package in June that includes warm ups, competition sneakers, competition bow, pink out game wear and competition T-shirts. Cost varies each year. The VP of Cheer will disclose cost once determined. Cheerleaders will need a pair of white cheer sneakers to use for games.
